Dacon used Target Value Design to bring the pharmacy at Beth Israel Deaconess’s Milton Hospital into compliance with pharmacopeia standards, good lab practice, and ultimately within the standards expected from The Joint Commission. The project was coordinated to allow for full ongoing operations. The scope of work was performed in conjunction with strict infection control procedures mandated by both Milton Hospital and Dacon.
Dacon also used Target Value Design to help Milton Hospital comply with patient privacy and to provide physicians the technological upgrades necessary to adapt to increases in electronic health records. The project occurred on two inpatient floors, so required the highest level of infection control and interim life safety measures. The project was in a highly sensitive area, so fast track procedures and an increased level of customer care were necessary.
Orthopedics and Physical Therapy
Dacon was also completed the Center for Orthopedic Care’s 9,000+ SF renovation for the new Orthopedic Treatment Clinic & Physical Therapy Services. This center has 16 private treatment rooms and its own X-ray waiting area.
Working within an existing operating room (OR), Dacon completed the design, construction and installation of a new Siemens Uroskop imaging system. Work included installation of room shielding and extensive floor remediation to accommodate equipment base supports. The work was done during off hours so as not to disrupt the hospital’s critical OR area.
Additional Beds and Shower
At Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Milton, Dacon also reconfigured patient rooms to accommodate six additional beds and a new shower area.
