Dacon was contracted by Sysco Food Services of Connecticut to design and build a 123,860 SF expansion of the company’s Rocky Hill facility. Dacon designed, permitted, engineered and constructed this multi-phased addition with minimal disruption to Sysco’s 24/7 operations. The project included a 16,732 SF cooler addition, a 44,876 SF freezer expansion, a 49,803 SF dry goods addition, and 12,449 SF of additional office space. In addition, 6,000 SF of new loading dock space was developed for each expanded area. Dacon worked with Sysco management to ensure that the project was completed within the nine-month allotted timeframe.
