As a project superintendent at Dacon Corporation, Derek Durkin coordinates all aspects of field operations from project start to project completion. His responsibilities include scheduling and overseeing jobsite personnel and subcontractors, implementing safety procedures, and monitoring the project for quality control.
Derek came on board at PDA, Dacon Corporation’s in-house architectural firm, as a CAD specialist in 2007. In 2013, he transitioned to his current role at Dacon. He has more than ten years of experience in the construction industry, and is skilled in a variety of software programs, including Revit, AutoCAD Architecture, and BIM Implementation.
Derek earned a Bachelor of Science degree in architectural engineering from New England Institute of Technology. He is licensed as a construction supervisor by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He has also completed the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s 30-hour certification, American Red Cross CPR certification, 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training, and Dacon Corporation’s safety issues and safety policy certification.
