With a unique penchant for innovation, Bake’n Joy has been an early proponent of creating solutions tailored to consumer taste. This successful approach has led to the need for expanded capacity via the modernization of a 1970’s industrial facility.
The design rationale for this new facility was based on operational efficiencies to support continuous market growth. Acquiring new state-of-the-art process equipment necessitated a layout to maximize production capacity and house bakery, packaging, office, freezer / cooler storage and production areas. The new production area accommodates 2 planetary style mixers turning 950 lbs. of batter within 158 gallon mixing bowls, along with 1 giant spiral freezer that processes 27,360 muffins per hour. This new facility is targeted to increase manufacturing capability by 40%.
