As a curator of inspired home designs, Crate&Barrel needed a distribution center to increase operational ease and customer service within the New England area.
The merits of this project rested on flexibility and feasibility. Design elements include a high bay, 32’ clear-height conventional structure with a tilt-up concrete wall façade, high-performance storefront glazing systems, 2 entrances, 11 egresses and a truck court accommodating 21 simultaneously loading vehicles and dock levelers. Crafting the space to be responsive to a variety of needs, the new design increased capacity by almost 50%.
