Challenge

Refined processes and modernized facilities keeps Unitex ahead of the curve. As the largest family-owned healthcare service provider in the nation, Unitex saw an opportunity to service Massachusetts’ high growth medical market by building a new facility for 300 employees. Timing for phase 1 was the challenge – Unitex wanted to be operating within 11 months with the ability to rapidly scale.

Design Build Value

‍This facility consists of both processing and delivery operations. Dacon’s primary focus was working with their engineering department to create a functional process area and office space that is also visually pleasing. Broken into 2 phases, the first stage – a 90,000 SF bulk laundry production build-out – was accompanied by a second phase servicing outpatient facilities. Total project time was 15 months.
