As a champion of sustainable agricultural solutions, Kula Bio is a 3-year-old start up dedicated to enhancing soil quality and agricultural life. Based on the premise that longer living, natural microbes contain stronger nutrient capabilities, Kula’s patented process creates bacteria that transitions nitrogen from air into fertilizer. The Kula-N biofertilizer combines traditional fertilizer's cost competitiveness with the environmental safety of organic products. With consumer demand increasing for sustainable food resources, the Kula-N biofertilizer enables agriculturalists to maintain costs and yield. Kula Bio needed a new Metro West headquarters with labs that could expand their production capabilities.
The design rationale for this lab centers on creating a versatile space that supports various functions as the firm grows. The facility contains executive offices, open employee seating, a research lab, manufacturing spaces, an inventory area, grow room and amenities.
