Reconstructing lives is in this client’s blood. A specialist in medical products for joint, spine, neurovascular and traumatic injuries, they know that education gives the best competitive foothold. Their goal was to create a virtual research process to educate large scale end users on products and procedures. Initially working with an outside architect resulted in an unsustainable $1.5MM design. They were unable to assess the proposed design for cost restraints nor could the architect reconfigure within their desired scope.
Based upon the architect’s original design concept, Dacon built a 75,000 SF training facility centered on 2 BL-2 multi-station examination rooms adjacent to a 250-seat auditorium and classrooms. All spaces were connected with audio visual systems so the presenter and participants could perform work together. Value engineering resulting in achieving desired aesthetics at a 20% cost reduction. After experiencing design build, this client engaged Dacon in 76 projects spanning offices, lab space, master planning and warehouse conversion.
